The
Indiana SAAC Spring Fling & Pony Trail was held over the weekend of
May 18-20, and for the third year in a row Mother Nature cooperated with
fantastic weather! The ever popular Pony Trail was on Friday,
which took over 150 'stangs on a scenic route from Nashville, to
Bargersville, to Waverly and onward to scenic dowtown Bloomington - and
of course the campus of Indiana University. The show on Saturday
featured over 250 cars in the park of all varieties. Sunday
featured the scenic Road Ralley through Pikes Peak, around Sweetwater
Lakes, through Peoga and back down the twisty roads to Nashville.
Although held the same weekend as the World Ford Challenge 10th, it was
a fantastic event. If you don't have any plans every year the
weekend before the Indy 500, I HIGHLY recommend you attend this event -
if not for the whole weekend, definitely for either the Pony Trail or
the Car Show on Saturday. For more about the Indiana
SAAC please check out their website.
Please
note that as the Saleen Club of America's Central Region Director, my
photography time was biased towards the Saleen cars only ;-) We
had 30 Saleens turn out for this event! Trust me when I tell you
the other 'stang varieties were equally represented and looking
great! I am trying to compile some pictures of the other show
areas...please stay tuned.
